Storage that comes to you
Traditional storage in Dubai puts the work on you. You hire a van, you carry everything down, you drive to an industrial estate in Al Quoz or Ras Al Khor, and you do the same thing in reverse when you want it back.
Smart Space is the managed version. We arrive at your address, pack and wrap your things, photograph every item so you have a record of what you handed over, and move it into a temperature-controlled facility. When you want it back, you send one WhatsApp message.
It is not the cheapest way to store things in Dubai. It is the one where you do not spend a Saturday carrying a mattress down a stairwell.
What you get for the monthly price
The monthly rate covers the storage itself:
- A temperature-controlled unit. Dubai summers reach the high forties, and an unconditioned unit will warp wood, crack leather and lift veneer. Temperature control is the difference between storing furniture and slowly destroying it.
- CCTV monitoring and controlled access. The facility is monitored and entry is controlled.
- A photo and video inventory. Every item is photographed and recorded on video during collection, so you know exactly what is with us.
- WhatsApp support for the whole time your items are stored.
Packing and transport to storage is charged once, separately, from AED 850. Return delivery is quoted separately and charged in addition to storage, unless it is already included in your agreed package.
How long people usually store for
Most Smart Space storage falls into one of four situations:
- A gap between tenancies — the move-out date and the move-in date do not line up, so the contents of a flat need somewhere to be for two to eight weeks. How to handle a date gap.
- A renovation — the furniture needs to be out of the dust for six to twelve weeks. Storage during renovation.
- An extended trip home — someone is out of the UAE for a summer or a season and does not want to keep paying rent on an empty flat.
- Downsizing — moving to a smaller place and keeping the furniture that does not fit rather than selling it at a loss.
There is no lock-in contract, so you are not committing to a year to solve a six-week problem.

How much does storage cost in Dubai with Smart Space?
Storage starts at AED 500 per month for a boxes-only unit. A studio is AED 700, a one-bedroom AED 1,200, a two-bedroom AED 1,950 and a villa AED 2,600 per month. Packing and transport is charged once, from AED 850. All prices exclude 5% VAT.
You get the full price confirmed before anything is booked.

How do I know what size I need?
Send us a photo or a short video of the rooms on WhatsApp and describe the furniture. We will tell you which size fits and what it costs before you commit.
We size by category rather than by measurement: Boxes, Studio, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom and Villa. Most people book the one that matches the property they are emptying — the one-bedroom category is the most common.
How quickly can you collect or return my items?
Message us on WhatsApp and we reply quickly. We confirm the collection or return slot with you before anything is scheduled — collection and return timing is confirmed based on availability.
The more notice you can give, the more choice of slot you have. If you are working to a fixed handover date, tell us the date when you first message.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There is no lock-in contract. You can store for a month or for a year.
If you pay quarterly or annually upfront to take advantage of the discounts, that period is paid in advance — the discount is the trade-off for committing early.
Is my property covered while it is in storage?
Cover is not automatically included in the prices on this site. If you want cover for your items, raise it when you request your quote and we will set out the options in writing as part of your quotation and terms.
