Move, store and paint — one handover, one contact
Ending a Dubai tenancy usually means a mover, a storage unit and a painter, all booked separately and all needing the flat on a different day. We sequence the three.
Why the three go together
Almost every Dubai tenancy ends the same way. The landlord or the agent expects the flat returned in the condition it was handed over, which in practice means repainted. The painter cannot start until the flat is empty. The flat cannot be emptied until the furniture has somewhere to go. And the new place is not ready yet.
So the three jobs are not really three jobs. They are one sequence with a fixed order, and the only hard part is keeping them in step.
The sequence
- Pack and collect. We pack, wrap, disassemble what needs disassembling, and photograph everything.
- Store. Everything goes into temperature-controlled storage for however long the gap runs.
- Paint. With the flat empty, the repaint happens straight away rather than waiting for a second empty slot. You do not need to be there.
- Deliver. When the new place is ready, we bring everything in. Collection and return timing is confirmed based on availability.
What it costs
Three line items, all confirmed in writing before you book:
- Packing and transport — one-off, from AED 850 (boxes only) to AED 5,000 (villa).
- Storage — monthly, from AED 500.
- Painting — AED 850 studio, AED 1,600 one-bedroom, AED 2,200 two-bedroom, AED 2,800 villa.
Book painting with storage and you save AED 200 on the painting. Return delivery is quoted separately and charged in addition to storage, unless it is already included in your agreed package. All prices exclude 5% VAT.

- Pay six months upfront — collection is free.

Common questions
Can you paint the apartment as well?
Yes. We coordinate apartment painting for handover — studio AED 850, one-bedroom AED 1,600, two-bedroom AED 2,200, villa AED 2,800, excluding VAT. Book it together with your storage and you save AED 200.
You do not need to be there. We handle the scheduling so the flat is painted and ready for the handover inspection.
How much does storage cost in Dubai with Smart Space?
Storage starts at AED 500 per month for a boxes-only unit. A studio is AED 700, a one-bedroom AED 1,200, a two-bedroom AED 1,950 and a villa AED 2,600 per month. Packing and transport is charged once, from AED 850. All prices exclude 5% VAT.
You get the full price confirmed before anything is booked.
How quickly can you collect or return my items?
Message us on WhatsApp and we reply quickly. We confirm the collection or return slot with you before anything is scheduled — collection and return timing is confirmed based on availability.
The more notice you can give, the more choice of slot you have. If you are working to a fixed handover date, tell us the date when you first message.
Who actually does the work?
Smart Space manages the whole job and stays your single point of contact from the first WhatsApp message to the final delivery. The collection, transport, storage and painting are delivered through our operational structure and vetted partners.
You deal with us throughout. You do not get passed between three companies to chase a delivery slot.
How much notice do you need?
Tell us your dates as early as you can, especially if you are working to a tenancy end date or a handover inspection. Collection and return timing is confirmed based on availability.
Bookings around the end of the month and over school-holiday moving season fill up faster, so early notice gets you more choice.
Do I pay extra to get my things back?
Yes. Return delivery is quoted separately and charged in addition to storage, unless it is already included in your agreed package. It is normally charged at the same rate as your original collection, and the amount is confirmed with you before we schedule it.
If you paid six or twelve months upfront, your collection is free — return delivery is still quoted separately.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There is no lock-in contract. You can store for a month or for a year.
If you pay quarterly or annually upfront to take advantage of the discounts, that period is paid in advance — the discount is the trade-off for committing early.

All of Dubai — Marina, JBR, JLT, Downtown, DIFC, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Mirdif, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, Silicon Oasis, Sports City and the rest.
